Kuss Filtration, global manufacturer of specialty fuel filtration products for the automotive market, has again responded to customer needs by developing a fuel filter media tailored to survive in high contamination fuel tank environments and "dirty" fuel regions found around the globe. Kuss recent release of StrataPore High Capacity Gradient Density (HCGD) media provides the fuel system with optimal filter dirt-holding capacity. This performance level provides increased fuel filter, pump and system life.
"HCGD media tailors filter media efficiency to optimal system requirements for high contamination fuel environments," said Julie Graber, Senior Product Development Engineer for Kuss. "This approach focuses on system balance and permits the capture of dirt particles in stages in order to realize full system component potential."
StrataPore HCGD is the latest offering in Kuss array of evolutionary fuel system media. Modifications were made to Kuss current industry standard filter media, StrataPore Gradient Density, by optimizing the distribution of the layered depth media to achieve the necessary filter life in challenging fuel regions. HCGD is currently being introduced globally and replacing standard woven media filters on many automotive applications.
High Capacity Gradient Density Depth Media joins Kuss palette of medias, including Gradient Density (GD) and High Efficiency Gradient Density (HEGD) depth media. Another addition to this list is a patent pending media derivative tailored for use in alternative fuels and high alcohol and water based fuels.
The following test data prove the performance superiority of these three specialty depth medias:
