It’s what’s on the inside that counts. Media is the driver behind a filter’s performance. The right media makes all the difference in efficiency, contaminant-holding capacity, restriction, and packaging size. And those directly impact the things you care about most: equipment performance, protection, uptime, and service intervals.
Protection Against What You Can’t See
The enemies of your engine and related systems are small — often significantly smaller than the human eye can see. Even so, they can cause big problems. These contaminants — millions of particles of water, sand, pollen, dust, salt and microbes — shorten service cycles, add to unplanned downtime, and increase operators’ costs of ownership.
So how do you prevent premature wear and reduced performance from this microscopic “army” of contaminants getting in your fuel, air, hydraulic and lube systems?
The only way to stop them from wreaking havoc on your time and bottom line is to filter them out. And you can only do that with media that’s matched to every facet of your equipment and systems’ needs.
Fleetguard filters are manufactured with state-of-the-art synthetic media, many of which are proprietary, so no other filter manufacturer has access to them. Each can be used alone or in a combination with other media to create high-performance filters, including custom solutions and advanced laminates made with a combination of media types, to meet ever-evolving performance requirements.
NanoNet® N3
Most advanced media, for increased particle retention capability and higher-capacity design.
Unmatched protection for longer product life — no other media can compare.
NanoNet N3 media enables filtration solutions to be fine-tuned to meet each customer’s application or commercial requirements.
Construction
The unique gradient mesh structure features an increased particle retention capability and higher-capacity design to provide superior asset protection and a longer product life.
Benefits
Delivering far greater contaminant-holding capability, this media allows us to optimize the size of a filter, increase service intervals, or a combination of both. In addition to the technical benefits, NanoNet N3 media uses fewer raw materials and less energy to manufacture for improved sustainability.
NanoNet+
The enhanced protection of NanoNet media with extended service intervals.
Fewer filter changes and lower maintenance costs over time.
NanoNet+ media builds on the robustness, protection and performance of NanoNet media, while extending service intervals.
Construction
Designed for high particle efficiency, this fuel filtration media removes and retains 10 times more particles than competitive media to deliver enhanced filter life where fuel quality is poor to begin with or has been degraded – resulting in fewer filter changes and lower maintenance costs over time.
Benefits
Superior protection and performance, preventing engine damage — all in media no thicker than a dime.
NanoNet
The original Fleetguard proprietary nanofiber media launched 15 years ago.
Engineered to protect today’s high-pressure common rail (HPCR) fuel injections system components better than competitive media.
Proven by millions of customers all around the globe.
Construction
A proprietary continuous synthetic media that provides enhanced protection throughout a filter's entire service interval. While traditional media using paper or cellulose fibers can become waterlogged, NanoNet media is entirely composed of sub-micron polymer fiber, so it’s essentially waterproof. It also features many distinct layers of protection to remove and retain particles 4 microns in size, and even smaller. (That’s the same size range as bacteria!)
Benefits
Removes and retains 10 times more particles than competitive media to deliver superior protection and performance, preventing engine damage so your engines can run longer and cleaner.
Stratapore®
Original multi-layer, continuous synthetic media.
High dirt-holding capacity for extended service intervals.
Market leader in cleaner oil and fuel protection.
Our original multi-layer, continuous synthetic media. This media captures more contaminants than the traditional filter and is the market leader in enabling cleaner oil and fuel protection.
Design
Through a melt-blowing process, high-temperature, high-velocity air is used to draw the molten fibers to small diameters, which are collected on a screen, forming a fine-fibered, multi-layer, non-woven media.
Benefits
Exponentially better fine-contaminant capture rate per pass, while ensuring oil or fuel is always passing through the system.
Robust construction and high dirt-holding capacity ensure extended service intervals and reliable performance, even in harsh conditions.
Certainty in an Industry That’s Always Changing
Real-world contamination is complex and evolving. You’re relying on your filter manufacturer to adapt quickly and develop technology that anticipates your needs.
Our aim is to stay ahead of the changes while exceeding industry standards and your expectations. We do that by being at the forefront of filter media development and Filtration Science. All so you can have the certainty to run cleaner, longer.
